Artist's Comments
This track is inspired by Mark Gormley's "Stars." In part, it's an interpretation of lyrics but moreso, it's an interpretation of the song's feeling and a tribute to all the incredibly "honest" work that Gormley's music reminds me of. It's my plan to do paintings for every track on Gormley's only album. This is track six.
The whole painting was done while listening to the song on loop so I didn't spend too much time on it. Spending more time on it would probably have had me hating the song and I don't want to hate anything the Gormster does. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.  reports, 1d 22h agoThis newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and *Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. |
